Streaming Troubleshooting Guide: A Decision-Tree Approach

Not every streaming issue is buffering. For that specific problem, see our dedicated buffering checklist. This guide covers the broader range of issues you might run into.

No picture, audio only

Often a hardware decoding issue. Try toggling hardware acceleration in your player app's settings, or restart the app entirely.

Channel list is empty

Almost always a playlist URL issue — see our M3U playlist guide for common causes.

Audio and video out of sync

This can be a device-side decoding quirk. Some player apps, including VLC, offer a manual sync adjustment — see our VLC guide.

App crashes on startup

Clear the app's cache first, then reinstall if the issue persists.

Everything worked yesterday, nothing works today

Start with a router restart, then confirm your credentials haven't changed. If the issue is isolated to one device, the device itself — not your subscription — is the more likely cause.
