QoS (Quality of Service)

A router feature that prioritizes certain devices or traffic types, ensuring streaming devices get bandwidth first during network congestion.

Without QoS, a large download on one device can starve a streaming device of bandwidth at exactly the wrong moment. Enabling QoS and prioritizing your streaming devices is consistently one of the highest-impact router settings for reducing contention-driven buffering in a busy household.
