Throughput
The actual data rate achieved on a connection in practice, as opposed to the theoretical maximum bandwidth advertised by an ISP.
Real-world throughput is typically somewhat lower than advertised bandwidth due to protocol overhead, network congestion, and distance from infrastructure. Running a proper speed test at your actual viewing time gives a far more accurate picture of throughput than the number on your ISP's plan.
