M3U Playlist
A plain-text file listing channel names and their corresponding stream URLs — the core file that turns a player app into a full channel list.
An M3U file typically contains embedded access credentials within its URL, which is why it should be treated like a password and never shared publicly. Most modern IPTV playlists specifically use the UTF-8 encoded M3U8 variant, standardized as part of HLS.
